Fresh milk and snacks in the mini fridge added to the comfort. The breakfast had delicious options, especially the full English. The staff was friendly.

The location is stunning and lovely, around 10-15 minutes walk from Sandown Park Racecourse. Furthermore, it's not far from the centre of Esher, Esher, old English Town in Surrey and all the shops.

Couple's Cozy Retreat
Hah! Really loved the food too, especially the full English breakfast-it was like a symphony on a plate, just what we needed to tackle the day ahead.
It wasn't exactly cheap, but you know, a bit of splurging now and then is acceptable.

Charming atmosphere and good breakfasts
I recently enjoyed my stay, particularly appreciated the cozy atmosphere and the good full English breakfast that was a perfect start to the day. The staff were great. Some parts of the hotel, like the bathroom, could use a little TLC.

Totally recommend for a fleeting trip
Comfortable room, spacious bathroom, the large bathroom with a walk-in shower was great and the breakfast offered excellent value, especially the generous helpings, and the staff were very attentive in this well-located hotel with free parking.

The place has a charming vibe, a lovely outdoor seating area, and a super cozy atmosphere. We really enjoyed meeting Lola, the pub dog! The menu was well thought out, and the dinner was fantastic. Can't wait to go back!

Cozy stay with a nice vibe
We had a lovely night in a warm and modern room. The bed was super comfy and perfect for snuggling up. The TV was a nice touch too! Location is spot-on, walking distance from loads of shops and places to eat. Only thing was the food options could be better. We didn't dine in. Overall a solid experience.

Highly recommend it for families with kids
The beer garden was fantastic and had this Mediterranean vibe, with trees and lights, made you forget you were in a bustling area. Plus, the staff were so accommodating, they even made sure our children's dietary needs were met by chatting with the chef!
Yeah, it wasn't a bargain by any means, but honestly worth it.

But good heavens, the noise! It was like trying to sleep next to a karaoke party, earplugs or not.

Convenient Stay with Room for Improvement
I had a comfortable night in a spacious room, enjoying the complimentary cookies and fresh milk. The staff were friendly, but the dining experience left much to be desired. For future guests, I recommend exploring nearby eateries for dinner as the on-site menu lacks variety.

missingWrote a review on 17 Junroom maintenance
We faced multiple issues . The blinds in room 5 didn't work properly, leaving us in the dark, and the shower had difficulty turning on, made for a rude awakening with cold water that just blasted out. There were noticeable signs of damp in the walls, particularly beside the bed and in the bathroom, which really should've been addressed for a 4-star hotel. Although we were moved to a different room, the initial inconveniences did diminish the experience slightly. Breakfast options were surprisingly limited, and on more than one occasion, the setting felt more like a pub recovering from a big night rather than a refined breakfast setting.

A good selection of draught beers at the bar proved to be a highlight . The location featured proximity to the train station.
Rooms facing the street dealt with significant traffic noise. Had a hard bed and a duvet that felt quite worn out-definitely not what I want after paying upwards of £115 for a night. The decor showed signs of age, needing a fresh coat of paint and a little TLC. With the mandatory £50 hold on the credit card for the pricey mini-bar, it reminded me of they might have been cashing in on every little detail.

The Bear offers a cute atmosphere with enthusiastic staff. The pub's excitement during the Six Nations Championship was a highlight, improved with a great selection of beers. My room was spacious, tidy, and well-equipped with fresh milk provided daily.
Parking was limited on one night, and the breakfast pricing was high.
